Boating/Fishing
Yellowstone Lake is the largest alpine lake above 7,000 feet. The lake has approximately 140 miles of shoreline, and is shaped roughly like a hand with three fingers and a thumb. Yellowstone Lake is rimmed by the Absaroka Mountains, providing a serene and breathtaking place to spend time.
Boating and fishing are both popular activities on Yellowstone Lake. At our Bridge Bay Marina, located a few miles south of the Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Lake Lodge, we offer charter guide boats and outboard rental boats. Rowboats are also available for rent. Tours of the lake make for a relaxing and informative experience as well. For backcountry exploration, we offer a shuttle service* that carries you and your gear to designated sites on the farther reaches of Yellowstone Lake. You can take along your canoe/kayak (or one of our canoes) if you wish to explore more of the lakeshore.
